Noticeable from the carriageway requested by Napoleon III stands the statue of Notre-Dame de Muskoa (Our Lady of Muskoa). The latest version of this statue, from 1948, is found on top of an obelisk designed by architect André Pavlovsky in order for the statue to be visible by seafarers from the ocean. A Parisian company was commissioned to make the statue, mostly thanks to the financing of fishing managers and their crew. The virgin of Muskoa protects seafarers.
