Rue Pocalette is at the heart of the town of Ciboure and starts from the wooden bridge built in the 14th century. One can see remarkable architectural remains, despite the destructions caused by successive invasions. There are houses that are typical of the urban architectural style of the Labourd area: their ground floors contain warehouses or shops while their upper floors have a corbelled construction around a structure of wooden panels. In this historical road, one can see a wall plate with a printing brace pattern, a porch with wide arch stones decorated by a frieze of pearls, or a wide eave supported by voluted wooden corbels.
